Port Orchard veterinarians

She will be able to go for walks like a normal dog, but may not be able to do short distances to start with, so needs a home where she is not going to be the main source of someone’s exercise regimen. We will not rehome an adult cat into a home where there are existing adult cats. Dental care is an essential part of your pet’s overall health to prevent dental disease and tooth loss. "He can be a little temperamental when meeting new people, so new owners would have to take this into account when they come to meet Flash."

This includes ensuring that the new family is appropriate for the animal requested and that the home provides a safe environment. Post-adoption checks are also mandatory, with a second if felt necessary. The main purpose of our sanctuary is to provide loving new homes for unwanted pets. We believe we have a duty of care to give them the best second chance possible, and not just the first home offered. Running costs are high as many of our pets need veterinary attention and may be with us for weeks as they recover.

Woods Road SE Port Orchard, WA 98366

He will need direct access to his own secure garden with 6ft fence to give him somewhere safe to enjoy some time off lead as he will need to remain on lead when in public places. His recall does require a little bit of training so he would need to be kept on a lead whilst out in public, especially whilst he is settling in. For this reason, he is looking to have his own secure garden with a 5ft fence and direct access to the home to burn off some energy in!

Sanctuary animals include dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters etc as well as a few hand reared sheep, goats and a pot bellied pig. TJ is looking for an experienced owner who has previously had a boisterous dog with high energy levels.

Lizzie is a four-year-old Staffordshire cross who has gained lots of confidence in a short space of time since she has been at the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Ilfracombe, staff say. This pair of female rabbits were taken to Woodside as their previous owner's cat was scared of them. Adoption prices for kittens under the age of 14 weeks range from £85 to £100 each or £160-£180 for two, and cats are £70 for one cat over the age of 14 weeks or £110 for two. He is suitable to live with a family with older children (age 13+). He is looking for an adults-only home with no other dogs or cats.

Cats

Please be aware not all kittens are ready to leave us at the sanctuary. We do not allow any reserves to be put on kittens until they are ready to be rehomed. We have to accept that this will happen to even the best of the homes we find and one of our adoption guarantees is that we will always take our own back.

Pet emergency care during office hours, plus find after-hours emergency pet care in Port Orchard. She is a shy girl but over time she becomes affectionate and loving. All pets are vaccinated, neutered, ID-chipped, flea-treated and wormed before being re-homed. Bluey is looking for a "quiet and experienced home" so she can properly relax, with no other cats in the neighbourhood. Gables staff will then contact you to discuss the pet you're interested in, and ultimately arrange an appointment for you to visit the Home and meet the animal.

Rehome from our Glasgow centre

He is very friendly and loves everyone that he meets, and he’s always keen to say hello. He would benefit by continuing with his basic training as he can be excitable and has no idea of his size, but he is sure to be a very loving addition to his new home. He gets on well with other dogs and has made a lot of doggy friends while staying with us. He does have a lot of energy so will need plenty of exercise and would love to go running or hillwalking with his owners. Poppy is a sweet and affectionate girl who adores human contact and is always happy to have some cuddles and fussing. She is young and very excitable, so will need to continue her training with her new owners as she still has lots to learn and can be quite full on.

He isn’t keen on other dogs and would benefit from working on his socialisation skills. Skye is a loving sweet girl who is looking to have her own secure private garden with a 6ft fence. This is important as this gives her a safe space to play and potter about in as she will be required to be on a lead when she is out and about.

"She lacks confidence around strangers and will need patient and understanding adopters. When she feels settled Maia may enjoy playing with toys, she has slowly started to show some interest. He has previously had surgery on his lft hind leg and therefore will need to continue with regular physiotherapy to help him build up his strength. He is a beautiful dog but can be stubborn, staff say, and would be best suited to a rural area.

Ramsey came into our care as a stray so we have very limited information on his behaviour in a home including housetraining or separation anxiety. He is looking to have someone in the home with him as much as possible as we do not know if he would cope being left home alone. Ramsey can live with children aged 14 years and over and is looking to be the only pet in the home but he would like to walk with dog friends. Angel suits her name as she is a lovely sweet girl who loves a little cuddle. Angel is looking to have a secure garden with a 5ft fence and direct access to the home. Angel would also prefer to have some quieter areas to walk that she wouldn't be overwhelmed with how many dogs she saw.

Sadly Taffy's owners ill health meant she was unable to care for him any longer. The pair where brought in to us via another rescue as unwanted pets. This care costs over £175 per cat to Woodlands Animal Sanctuary but rehoming a cat from Woodlands means we only ask for a donation of £95 for one and £180 for a pair. Rehoming a cat can be a rewarding and exciting experience but it is important that you understand the commitment can be anything up to twenty years of your life.
